Welcome to the 2nd International Workshop on Digital Philology for the Preservation of Multimedia Archives.

Save the date! Tuesday, 18 October 2016 at Villa Contarini – Fondazione G.E. Ghirardi, in Piazzola sul Brenta, near Padova, Italy.

The Workshop brings together experts across the humanities and hard sciences to discuss the role of digital philology in the preservation of multimedia cultural heritage.

Some of you may have noticed that the word multimedia replaces sound in the title of this year's Workshop. Renaming the event felt like a natural evolution: the reflections we wish to encourage apply to all types of digital/digitised cultural materials, and we wanted to include video and interactive multimedia installation art in an explicit way.
